To this.Widening this took me 3 days. this bed if about 45 - 50 ft long. I trench the sides like I once saw when in Amish country. When I get it to the final size, I will add edging to it.
The nearest end is a lilac "tree" and the other end is a Star Magnolia which gets white flowers before it has leaves in the spring. The middle has Dietuzias alternating with cannas.

Wow,,, you sure do alot of gardening. I must admit, gardening is not a passion for me but I DO love the looks of nice gardens. I wont let you see a picture of my regular garden. It is a mess.
I love gardening but more I love the end product. I am still in awe that you can plant something tiny like a seed or twig (as in a tree) and it grows huge in seemingly no time.
Gary is beginning to like all the fruit we are getting and we plan on even more cherry trees and hopefully a strawberry patch that is enclosed so the critters don't get them first.
